This shawl was comissioned as a gift. My customer sent me a few photographs showing the kinds of colours that the recipient likes and we worked from there.
The warp is pure silk from an Italian mill. The weft is some lovely merino and silk yarn hand-spun by my wife Nicole. This gave me the ability to custom design the yarn to acheve exactly the colour variations I wanted to see. I’m told that the recipient loves it!
